Addin365 turns 9 today!

It feels like only yesterday that Addin365 was born, but today we turn 9! And what a ride it’s been! Here’s our (much–debated) best 9 moments from the past 9 years.

1 We were first awarded Charter Partner status by Microsoft in 2019 – an award beyond gold and silver partner status – that marks us out as one of the best Microsoft partners in the world for Content Services and Business Applications. We retain our Charter Partner status to this day, as 1 of 15 from more than 400,000 Microsoft partners globally.

2 In 2021 WPP chose Addin365 as their group-wide intranet partner for Microsoft 365. WPP are Microsoft’s largest client in the UK. The WPP and Addin365 partnership is still going strong, with a recent case study for operating company Kinetic, that you can read here.

3 We moved to Paul Street – our fantastic offices in Shoreditch – that simultaneously gives us a view of the Shard and the ArcelorMittal Orbit.

4 As the world wakes up to the potential of AI for optimising business operations our AI products for digital workplace have been flying off the shelf, as mature offerings in what is a new market for many.

5 Our client Wincanton’s digital employee experience was recognised as a finalist for the Institute of Internal Communications Best Employee Experience Campaign in 2022.

6 We have recruited 3 Microsoft MVPs to the team since our inception in 2015. The MVP Award for Microsoft 365 cannot be studied for, it is awarded by Microsoft Product Groups directly to a few hundred individuals, from 2 million practitioners globally for their expertise.

7 We did our bit to bring a vaccine to market quickly during the pandemic, by rapidly delivering internal communication and collaboration experiences for AstraZeneca and Signant Health, built on Addin365 products.

8 Our CEO Suzy Dean won the national everywoman award for Entrepreneurship – an incredible honor for the whole company.

9 We took to the stage at Microsoft’s global Ignite conference in Orlando, to present our Creative & Page Kit product to 10,000 session attendees.

Phew! We are grateful to all our partners and customers for making our first 9 years as amazing as they have been and look forward to many more successful years ahead.

Wes Hackett is the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) at AddIn365. As CTO, his main responsibilities include leading the development team and supporting clients in understanding and using Microsoft 365: Viva, SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.

Wes holds Microsoft Most Valuable Professionals (MVP) status for 10 years and counting. MVPs are technology experts who are always on the ‘bleeding edge’. They have very deep knowledge of Microsoft products and services, while also being able to bring together diverse platforms, products and solutions, to solve real world problems. MVP status is only given to a handful of individuals by Microsoft, globally.

AddIn365 Technical Architect and Microsoft MVP

Paul Schaeflein is Technical Architect at AddIn365 with experience in architecting, designing and developing software solutions. This experience covers a vast range of technologies, languages and industries.

Sparking Innovation: Addin365 at the MVP Summit!

The Microsoft MVP Summit is a fantastic, invite-only gathering where over 2,000 MVPs and RDs from 80+ countries come together. During the summit, MVPs (Microsoft’s Most Valuable Professionals) connect with Microsoft’s product owners. Microsoft MVPs share insights, provide feedback, and brainstorm ways to enhance Microsoft’s products.

This year, two of our MVPs – Wes Hackett and Paul Schaeflein – will be attending this exclusive Summit. Located at the Microsoft Redmond Campus, it’s all about learning, networking, and sparking ideas, and our MVPs are excited to be there. But how does that help you?

AddIn365’s MVP Wes Hackett invited to speak on two Ask The Expert Panels at Microsoft Ignite 2020

In a fashion that is flirting with becoming a part of the ‘new normal’, this year’s Microsoft Ignite was held as a digital-only event. The conference was beamed to 30,000 virtual attendees from across the globe, all keen to discover more opportunities for innovation, industry insights and browse the unique offers from Microsoft.

Following on from his presentations at previous years’ Ignite Conferences, MVP and AddIn365 CTO, Wes Hackett was asked to present on two Ask The Expert sessions. The interactive programmes, available to revisit here, were designed to provide insights and roadmaps from industry leaders, deep dives and live demos on Microsoft products.

Answering questions put forward from Microsoft365 users, Wes attended the ‘Ask The Expert Session: Develop Engaging Apps for Work with Microsoft Teams & Microsoft 365’, where he offered his insights into the latest building block products from Microsoft and how they can be better integrated into the workplace. As part of a world class panel of experts on a range of technologies, Wes analysed the latest application offerings from within Microsoft Teams and looks forward to the next round of product releases later in the year. Wes provides a leading vision to our customers’ organisations who require simple solutions to better digital communications and collaboration within their businesses.

On presenting at an Ignite event unlike previous years, Wes said: “Firstly, I really enjoyed the new Q&A layout of the live sessions; it gave myself and my associates on the panels a great opportunity to really break down the questions the attendees were asking and offer our best insights on how to get the most out of the latest enhancements. Secondly, I was really excited by the huge announcements made at the Keynotes. With the imminent release of SharePoint Syntex and the application enhancements within Teams, the new Together Mode scenes in particular, Ignite really showcased Microsoft’s intent to provide some real innovation to their products to improve their users’ experience.”

We were pleased to hear the conference message from Microsoft was a commitment to quality over quantity, with real innovative enhancements being made to many of the existing applications.
